Welcome to Amsterdam!
For the AOMCC annual Ariel Rally, September 13th-16th - 2018, we are staying at Camping Zeeburg, a nice camping site with a very relaxed atmosphere, good food, comfortable accommodation and great facilities. Situated on the outskirts, from Camping Zeeburg you can reach the city centre within 20 minutes by rented bicycle (one of the best ways to explore the city!), or by public transport. Of course you can take your Ariel, but as Amsterdam is a very busy city, we do not recommend this.
To persuade you to come over to Holland, we've tried to put together an attractive Rally programme with something for everyone: several scenic motorcycle trips to places of interest in the near by countryside to choose from, a private canal cruise option, viewing of old Ariel footage, a musical interlude on Friday night, a professional Big Band & singer on Saturday night, and the Concours d'Elegance & raffle.
We highly recommend everyone to extend their stay after the rally, as there is so much more to see and do, one weekend is just not enough. See Important Note below!
Amsterdam is a very popular destination and therefore very busy. That's why we have chosen to have the rally in September, when visitor numbers are somewhat lower.
For accommodation we have priority options on a large number of comfortable cabins, wagonettes, pitches for campervans & caravans and a large field for tents.
However, because Amsterdam is very popular, we have these options only until June 1st, 2018. So if you want to have a choice, don't wait with your booking until the last moment: first come first served! Payments must be made within 1 month after signing-in, otherwise your booking cannot be guaranteed.
After June 1st, 2018, you might still be lucky, but you have to book direct at the camping website, on basis of availability.
WHERE: Camping Zeeburg
Maybe you would like to combine your trip to the continent with a vist to the German Ariel 'Treffen'. This will take place at Tonenburg sunday 9th - Wednesday 12th September 2018. Distance from Tonenburg to Amsterdam is approx. 400 km. If you make an overnight stop halfway on wednesday night you can travel to Amsterdam at leisure and arrive on thursday.
The German Branch will further inform you in Cheval the Fer.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you want to extend your stay at Camping Zeeburg, you must indicate this when completing your sign-in form. We will then try to arrange that you can stay in the same cabin, wagonette or on the same camper/caravan pitch, based on availability. The sooner you book this, the more chance that this is possible.
After we get confirmation from the camping office, we will send you an email with further info on your booking
and payment instructions.
The 2018 annual AOMCC rally is organised by Marco Boelis, Anke Nobel and Herman Noort, members of the Dutch Arielclub. We do our best to make this a memorable event and hope you’ll enjoy it.
Have a safe journey!
